Sophia is an award-nominated digital innovation leader with over 20 years of experience delivering transformative, AI-powered solutions in energy, commodity trading, and renewables.
Before founding Aterra AI, her career includes leading innovation for a global energy major’s trading and shipping business — launching its first Generative AI chatbot and spearheading cross-functional initiatives that connected cutting-edge technology with commercial value.
Sophia founded Aterra AI to bring that same level of impact to underserved sectors — ensuring AI drives inclusive, systemic change, not just enterprise optimisation.
An advocate for ethical data, diversity in STEM, and socially responsible innovation, Sophia holds a PhD in Geology and is a graduate of Oxford Saïd Business School’s Strategic Innovation programme.
